Your Right to Privacy
It is a massive privilege to be invited into the inner circle of your wedding day. I’m well aware that while I’m there to capture the big "I do" moments, I’m also witnessing the quiet, and often deeply personal ones, too. Because of that, I don't treat your privacy as a footnote in a contract—I treat it with the same respect I give your final gallery.
While I love a good social media "shout-out" as much as the next person, I also know that for some, the most beautiful memories are the ones kept entirely offline. Here is how I handle your images, your identity, and your peace of mind.
The "Model Release" (The Fine Print, Simplified)
Standard wedding contracts include a "model release." In plain English: it gives me permission to show off the work we created together on my website or social media. This is how I find new couples who resonate with my style. However, your comfort always outranks my marketing.
If the standard release doesn't sit right with you, we have options:
1. The "Just For Us" Policy (Zero Sharing)
If you want your wedding to remain a private chapter, I’m 100% on board.
What happens: Your gallery is delivered via a secure link for your eyes only.
The result: No Instagram posts, no blog features, and no portfolio usage. Your photos stay strictly within your inner circle.
2. The "Anonymous Artistry" Approach (Selective Sharing)
Perhaps you’re okay with me sharing the vibe of the day, but you’d prefer to keep your identity, or specific images private. We can curate a "details-only" or "anonymous" selection that focuses on:
The Atmosphere: Landscapes, decor, and venue shots.
The Details: Close-ups of invitation suites, florals, or the "getting ready" aesthetic.
Candid Privacy: Moments captured from behind or from a distance where faces aren't the focus.
Identity Protection: No names, tags, or location-specific details in any captions.
3. The Full Celebration
If you’re happy for me to share the highlights, I do so with immense gratitude.
Vendor Love: I often share galleries with your other vendors (florists, planners, etc.) so they can celebrate their hard work, too. I ask them to stick to digital use; any print advertising requires an extra "okay" from me.
A Note on AI & Data
In a world of "AI everything," I want to be clear: your images are never used for AI training. While I use professional tools like Adobe for editing—which may use anonymous data for software optimization—your likeness is never sold, shared, or fed into a generative AI model. Your face belongs to you, not an algorithm.
No "Privacy Tax"
I believe privacy is a right, not a premium feature. There is never an extra cost for choosing a private or selective sharing policy. If you’d like to adjust the model release in your contract, just let me know before you sign.
Thank you for trusting me with your story. Whether it’s shared with the world or kept as a family treasure, it’s an honor to be the one behind the lens.
